Use “live streaming” on YouTube for webinar

First, you have to open your YouTube channel and click on “Creator Studio”.

Before you start your live streaming you have to do these two things:

1. Confirm that your channel is verified

            – go to youtube.com/verify

            – you’ll be asked to provide a phone number for account verification, and you will receive a verification code via voice call or SMS.

2. Confirm that you don’t have live stream restrictions in the last 90 days . You can check your channel’s access to live streaming, on your channel:

Set up your live streaming encoder

Before you can start streaming on YouTube, you need to download encoding software. Encoding software allows you to capture content, including your desktop, camera, microphone, and more, and send it to YouTube Live to be streamed to all your fans. Some of them are for free, some are paid.

Open Broadcaster Software can be a good choice and it’s free.

Add stream info

Enter an interesting title and description, and then upload a thumbnail image.

Optional features

You can use different features to enhance your streaming experience.

Select Low Latency in Stream Options to allow for faster chat interaction.

Use the Share options to post about your stream on social media.

Go live

To start streaming, start your encoder. The status bar will indicate when you’re live.

To stop streaming, stop your encoder.

When your stream is complete, a public video will be automatically created and uploaded for your fans to view later.
